Update from Cephalophore!
Six months in the life of Cephalophore

Well, it's been a while since I have submitted an update on myself.
That is because not a whole lot has been happening on the Cephalophore
front, but a lot has been happening on the whole "personal life" front
and that has kept me quite busy. Personal life-wise I have returned
to school for the first time in quite a while and I am now studying
graphic design. This has necessitated a few nice, new additions to my
life, including a new laptop (which unfortunately my music software
will not work on) and Photoshop CS5. This is the first time I have
had a full version of Photoshop in almost a decade and the first time
I have had any form of Photoshop in a year and I am happy to have it
again. Also now I actually know how to use more than just the basic
elements of it, goodness! This has also lead to some very busy times,
with huge papers to write, exams, projects which must be completed,
printed and mounted by the ever encroaching deadline, etc.

"But wait!" You are probably thinking. This sounds like one of those
"Cephalophore is going on an indefinite hiatus" type of things. But
never fear faithful fans (all, what ... one? Two of you maybe?)
Cephalophore is most definitely not going anywhere. In fact I have
not one but TWO new full length albums nearing completion. They are
titled "Ashes From The Cremation Grounds" and "The Interpretation of
Wounds". Each one is around an hour long and is filled with all that
catchy, Cephalophore pop music that you have come to expect. Yes,
Justin Bieber and Kesha fans, begin drooling in anticipation now!

For now be sure to check out all of the earlier Cephalophore material
which is now available as free downloads on the Barren Meadows
website. This includes such classics as the debut full length
"Subduction" which is still my favorite, now available in an extra
window shaking remastered form and with an additional 16 or so minutes
stuck on at the end just for the fun of it. Also available is
"wecoulddie" which I believe has been listened to by literally hordes
of people ... seriously, like, thousands ... or hundreds. Or, well,
more like 8 or something, possibly even less. Go listen to it, it
feels sad and I feel sad, my poor little unloved runt of an album
which is more known for having a title that looks like "wecuddle" than
for anything else.

And don't forget to pick up "Peccatoris" if you have some extra cash
laying around, goodness knows, I don't but YOU might, and what better
thing to spend it on than rumbly bassy soundscapes? Well, pizza
maybe, but after pizza ... you know you want "Peccatoris"!

Hguols Update
After some contemplation, I'm going to do a cover song - the Hguols way.

It will be a "single" type thing - just one track, digital release only and a FREE download.

Actually, I'm going to cover two songs, make it into one epic Hguols track.
(my goal is to get this song in the 10 minute range)
I'm up for the challenge!

Anyone in here familiar with the Legacy of Kain - Soul Reaver games? I was going to cover the main themes of Soul Reaver 1 and Soul Reaver 2. If you're not familiar with the songs, (or are familiar and just need a little refresher) they're featured in these videos:

Once again, these songs will be redone in the typical Hguols grandiose and bombastic fashion.

The single will be called "Reaver of Souls", with the track affectionately entitled,
"Ozar Midrashim, Ariel's Lament"

When I'm done with the song (could be a week or so) I'll post it here for everyone.
